When barbers sign up for UpNext we collect basic account information including your name, email address, and barbershop details. When clients check into your queue we collect only the information needed to manage the queue — typically a first name and optionally a phone number for SMS notifications. We do not collect payment information directly; all billing is handled securely through our payment processor.
We use your information solely to operate and improve the UpNext service. This includes managing your queue, sending client notifications, processing your subscription, and providing customer support. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your clients' information for advertising or marketing purposes.
As a barbershop owner using UpNext you are responsible for informing your clients that their check-in information is being collected. Client queue data is retained for up to 90 days for analytics and reporting purposes, after which it is automatically deleted. Clients may request deletion of their data at any time by contacting your shop directly or reaching out to us at privacy@getupnextapp.com.
If a client provides a phone number at check-in they consent to receive a one-time SMS notification when it's their turn. We do not store phone numbers beyond the active queue session unless the client opts in to future notifications. Standard message and data rates may apply. Clients can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information using industry-standard encryption and secure infrastructure. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We regularly review our security practices and update them as needed. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we are committed to protecting your data to the best of our ability.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your account data at any time. To make a request contact us at privacy@getupnextapp.com and we'll respond within 5 business days. If you close your UpNext account your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify active subscribers by email. Continued use of UpNext after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
